Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the chiefs, queenmothers and the people of the Volta Region to support the Akufo-Addo-led government infulfilling its promises.
Dr Bawumia made the call when he joined the chiefs and people of Afife for the coronation of Mama Blemeali Afeanyetornye III as Queen-mother of the Afife Traditional Council in the Volta region on Sunday, 27 October 2019.
Dr Bawumia reiterated the important roles women play in the development of society and improvement in the chieftaincy institution and urged them to keep playing such roles in bettering communities.
“Continue to support government in fulfilling its promises and its fight to eradicate poverty, inequality, hunger, disease and underdevelopment,” the Vice President stated.
