FDA Shuts Down East Legon Marwako Over Alleged Food Poisoning

The East Legon Branch of food company Marwako is being shut down by the Food and Drugs Authority over allegations of food poisoning.

Social media platform Twitter is replete with reports of people who have been hospitalized at the Nyaho Clinic in Accra after consuming food from Mawarko.

 

Some individuals who say they are medical practioners have also complained of surge in cases at the hospital after patients consumed meals from the restaurant.
