COVID-19 Lockdown: Security Officers Who Brutalized Civilians Withdrawn – Akufo-Addo

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the leadership of the Police and the Military has withdrawn from the streets after they were caught abusing citizens during the lockdown.

Updating the nation on the progress of the partial lockdown imposed a week ago, the President said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) have initiated investigations into the abuses.

He said this is part of efforts to ensure that the citizenry does not suffer at the hands of the security personnel.

The President, however, cautioned the public to stop throwing into the public domain false videos on the abuses of the public.
