Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is prepared to speed up the signing of two players as he aims to add more depth to his team.
Lampard is pushing for the signing of Kai Havertz and Declan Rice this summer, Bayern Leverkusen failed to qualify for the Champions League and Havertz ended the season with a defeat against Bayern Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal and Lampard is considering a move for West Ham defensive midfielder Rice.
Lampard is keen on signing the German star after Bayern Munich pulled out of the race, though they still have to face competition against Real Madrid it seems the Spanish giants have slowed down their interest.
Chelsea has already completed the deal for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
Havertz,21, is valued £70millionand he is expected to leave the German outfit after he missed out on the Champions League qualification for next season.
Chelsea is considering a move for a centre back and Lampard has identified Rice as a possible option to help in the defence.
