The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has predicted that, the former President John Mahama would be naming his “cursed” running mate.
With few months left for Ghanaians to vote, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress, is yet to name his running mate but Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, maintains that “naming his running mate or not, doesn’t change the fact that he would lose the 2020 elections”.
The NPP Chairman explained this on Wontumi TV that “John Mahama would be naming a cursed person as running mate. That person wouldn’t add any value to his campaign. It would be more trouble for him because the person would be seen as corrupt”.
He also called on all the winning candidates in the just ended NPP Parliamentary Primaries to call and visit the losing aspirants as he believes this would foster unity in the party prior to the December elections.
Chairman Wontumi also noted that his concentration is on the ongoing voters’ registration exercise and urged all the parliamentary candidates to get involved.
