This was after Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin openly stated that anyone who insults the president for his fight against Galamsey is either a villager or a witch, social media erupted with outrage.
On the Onua TV Maakye mourning show program, Captain Smart expressed his displeasure with the Okyenhene’s wording in response to the irate Ghanaians who are upset over losing their natural riches.
Okyenhene, according to Captain Smart, is a disgrace to monarchy for using a public platform to refer to his subjects as peasants and witches. According to Captain Smart, the Okyenhene’s remarks are not only directed at common Ghanaians but also at some chiefs and religious figures who are upset with the president’s slack response to the Galamsey threat.
Akufo Addo, according to Captain Smart, has all the tools necessary to combat the threat, so why has he been silent when called upon to look into and bring charges against individuals who are involved in the activities close to him?
He asserted that Okyenhene has to apologise to Ghanaians for his remarks.
