You hired a private jet to France just to go and sleep – Journalist slams Nana Akufo Addo

Broadcast journalist, Kwabena Bobie Ansah has slammed President Akufo-Addo for allegedly blowing GH¢2.8 million of taxpayers’ money on a private jet to his recent trips to France and Johannesburg to beg for cancellation of Africa’s debts.

This issue has become topical after North Tongu legislator, Okudzeto Ablakwa shed light on the profligacy of the president. In a post on Facebook, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) member said rent an aircraft that cost the Ghanaian taxpayer £15,000 an hour.

He further added that the President left Accra for Paris on the 16th of May and then from Paris to Johannesburg and back to Accra on the 25th of May accumulating a total of 23 hours amounting to a colossal £345,000. At the current exchange, the amount totals GH¢2,828,432.80.

It’s on this note Bobie Ansah chided Nana Akufo Addo on Accra FM for enjoying luxury at the expense of Ghanaians premised on the worsening economic situation in the country.

He’s even unhappy that above all that, the President was captured on camera dozing at the event in France where he had used taxpayers’ money to fly a luxurious jet to beg.

Recall the President was captured in a viral video dozing off while the event was going on in France.
