You Are Most Deceitful President In The Fourth Republic – Captain Smart Descend On Akufo-Addo

The Onua TV morning show personality, Captain Smart has described Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-administration Addo’s as the most deceitful in the history of Ghana’s fourth Republican regime.

Captain Smart, speaking on the increase in fuel costs since January this year, said the current government has done the opposite of what it battled against while in opposition.

“In the Fourth Republic, you have fooled Ghanaians more than any other government. This administration has been the most deceitful. Even Rawlings, whose government was a military government, did not do so, and neither did J. A. Kufuor or Prof. Mills.”

“You were all over the place raging when Mahama hiked petrol prices on a few occasions, and now you come to tell us you are performing,” he remarked.

Captain Smart claims that the Akufo-Addo government’s dishonesty is manifested in the failures of his major projects, such as One District One Factory.

Captain Smart noted that while the government pretended to be establishing factories under the strategy, it has mainly served as a platform for the government to claim credit for industries founded by private individuals.

“One District One Factory is a fabrication. You may believe we don’t know, but we do. We were told that the government would establish factories, but it was after we elected you that I got my first shock about the government. You came to explain that the government would not build the plants, but would instead form a partnership with private businesses. Now tell us how much money you’ve put into any of the factories,” he demanded.

Fuel prices in Ghana climbed from roughly GHC6.53 per litre to around GHC6.90 per litre between the beginning of October and the end of the first week of November.
