Covid-19, one of man’s greatest enemy has caused so many disturbances in any aspect of life being it religion, industries, and businesses. Many businesses and companies have run at a loss due to the lockdown. Others too found good opportunities in it and made the best out of it.
Night workers (prostitutes) at Tarkwa Railway Station are complaining about a decline in their job market. People are no more going to them for services as they claim. The night workers are mainly Nigerians who are between the ages of 15 to 36 years.
Speaking to one of the prostitutes, she said due to the low patronage they want to review their services to attract more customers. “The initial cost per round was 10 to 30 cedis depending on the terms and conditions but we have reduced it to 5 Ghana cedis but we still don’t get customers and we don’t know the reasons” she added.
Despite reducing the prices, the job market has moved from good to bad they said. The night workers said they were prepared to do house-to-house service if their customers call on them.
