WAEC Suspends WASSCE 2020 Over COVID-19 Outbreak(+Press Release

The head of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) Mr E. K Myers has announced the suspension of the WASSCE 2020 until further notice.

This follows after Ghana recorded an additional five(5) confirmed cases of the COVID-19 this morning March, 20th 2020. 

A statement released indicated that the National Office have come to an agreement to suspend the 2020 timetable for the upcoming WASSCE because of the negative impact of the novel and deadly COVID-19 and the subsequent protocols put in place by the government to prevent the spread of the disease.

The statement further explained that the proposal to suspend this year’s WASSCE has been approved by the Chairman of council.
