Update +Photo : Full details of Norwegian Who Allegedly Brought Coronavirus Into Ghana

A new update we have on our desk is the full details of the Norwegian National Who allegedly imported Coronavirus to Ghana,

According to a report by Mynewsgh, the Top Norwegian Official who is been quarantined in the Country now goes by the name, Gunnar Andreas Holm.

Gunnar Andreas Holm , is the Norwegian Ambassador to Ghana who arrived in Ghana last week before reporting ill. 

He was in Norway to help in the planning of the visit of President Akufo-Addo to Norway about 15 days ago. 

His other Ghanaian counterpart who is also infected reportedly reached Ghana on 29th February. 

In respect to that , Ghana’s Information Minister , Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in an interview on Citi Breakfast Show as monitored by nanansem.com has revealed that that the two persons who tested positive for coronavirus in Ghana have been in the country for about a week. 

“One is a Ghanaian and the other is a foreigner. The Ghanaian is based abroad who came to visit and the foreigner has the permit to reside in the jurisdiction and we are informed that they have been in town for about a week.”

Yesterday, March 12, 2020, the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu at an emergency press briefing confirmed that Ghana has recorded two cases of the novel virus.

The two cases according to the Health Minister, tested positive after laboratory tests from the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research.

According to the Health Minister, the cases were reported as ‘imported cases’ as both individuals returned to Ghana from Norway and Turkey.

“Both individuals returned to Ghana from Norway and Turkey. So these are imported cases of COVID-19.”
