‘The Way Ghanaians Jubilated When Akufo Addo Lifted Lockdown Shows NPP’s Failure’- John Dumelo Says

The flagbearer of the biggest opposition in Ghana, John Dramani Mahama addressed the country on Thursday evening via broadcast digital friends and followers platform where he threw subliminal shots at Nana Akufo Addo and his government.

According to him, government’s failure in handling the covid-19 situation properly even before Ghana recorded its first case of the deadly pandemic and the subsequent lockdown left many Ghanaians just two choices to either stay home and die of hunger or come out and take their chances with COVID-19.

“Many Ghanaians were faced with two choices. Either to stay at home and die of hunger, or come out and take their chance against the deadly virus. Faced with this choice, they opted for the latter.”

He further added that the jubilation across the various places where there was lockdown after it was lifted by the President is an indication that the government’s initiative of distributing food packs on the streets failed woefully.
