Rev. Obofour slapped with GHC 190,000 Debt Suit, Faces Jail Term

Reverend Kwaku Adjei Antwi, popularly known as Rev. Obofur leader and founder of the Anointed Chapel Church (APC) has been slapped with GHC 190,000 debt suit by a UK based Ghanaian who goes by the name, Kwame Frimpong Ohene.

The suit which has been sighted was filed by Mr. Frimpong through his lawyers Awooner Law Consultancy. The suit claim Rev. Obofour owes him an amount of money for services rendered which he has refused to pay. Mr. Frimpong is the Chief Executive Officer of Salt Media Ghana, according to him, a power plant worth GHC 70,000 was delivered to Rev. Obofour at his church premises in Achimota upon request.

Rev. Obofour then requested for another plant worth the same price from the supplier which he duly delivered. This accrued the total cost of the two plants to 140,000 Ghana Cedis.

According to Mr. Frimpong, Rev Obofour again requested a transmitter which costs GHC 90,000. However, Rev. Obofour settled a part payment of GHC 40, 000 leaving an outstanding balance of GHC50,000.

Mr. Frimpong indicates, Rev. Obofour has refused to pay the outstanding balance of 190,000 Ghana cedis. All efforts to retrieve his money from the man of God has proven unsuccessful, as reverend obofour has denied ever transacting business with him.

Mr. Kwame Frimpong Ohene is therefore praying the court (Accra High Court) to assist him retrieve his money from Rev Obofour.
