Real Madrid offer Man Utd Gareth Bale to seal Paul Pogba transfer

Man Utd transfer planning is in full swing but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains reluctant to part with Real Madrid target Paul Pogba

Gareth Bale has long been linked with a Real Madrid exit

Real Madrid are desperate to snare Paul Pogba and even offered up Gareth Bale as bait, it’s claimed.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has a long-running interest in the France international.

He was desperate to sign his compatriot in the summer but couldn’t get a transfer over the line.

After a challenging start to the season, Real are now looking the real deal in La Liga.

They sit second, just two points of pace setters Barcelona.

Nevertheless, Zidane still views Pogba as the missing piece in his midfield jigsaw.

And, according to Spanish media outlet El Desmarque , he could up the ante again.

It’s suggested Colombian international James Rodriguez has already been offered in part exchange, along with £27m.

That offer was knocked back by the Red Devils.

El Desmarque add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was similarly unimpressed by a proposition that included Wales international Bale.

Real were eager to offload the 30-year-old forward during the previous transfer window.

However, a potentially lucrative switch to China collapsed at the 11th hour.

He caused fury during the last international break after he was pictured holding a flag adorned with ‘Wales. Golf. Madrid’.

“There is too much noise with Bale. He wants to be with us and do it well,” said Real boss Zinedine Zidane said in the aftermath.

“I hope this doesn’t carry on for the rest of the season.

Paul Pogba wants a move away from Manchester, but doesn’t look like getting it in January

“We want the fans to be with us from the beginning to the end, but we cannot control that.”

“If they can get back what they paid for him – or maybe just a little bit more – I think they should take it to be honest,” he told Starsport.

“As long as that’s allowed to be spent on the team, then it does make sense.

“I don’t think we’ve seen a great passion for him wanting to play for Manchester United.”

However, the 55-year-old isn’t convinced Bale is the answer to the clubs woes.

“With Bale there’s injury problems with him and you don’t know how that’s going to pan out,” he added.

“Does he really want to leave? He’s said so many times that he’s happy out there.

“You need to know 100 per cent that he wants to come and he’s not arriving for the sake it.

“It’s no good if he just wants Manchester United on his CV.
