Prime suspect in the murder of Legon Law Lecturer has died

The Prime suspect in the murder of Legon Law Lecturer, Professor Yaw Benneh, James Nana Womba has died, officials of the Ghana Police Service have confirmed.

According to the Police, James Nana Womba has been sick for some time now and was put on oxygen at the intensive care unit of the hospital but died after some time.

James Nana Womba had earlier confessed to be a party to the murder of the late Law Lecturer at his residence at adriganor at East Legon.

The law lecturer was found days after his death with his hands tied and cloth stuffed in his mouth.

This confession led to the dropping of charges against three other domestic workers at the residence of the law lecturer.

Meanwhile, Police have arrested one of his accomplices One Opambour Agya Badu who has since been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Police have reported that efforts are underway to arrest three other accomplices as a court has granted them the a warrant to effect the arrest.
