POlice Officer Abandon A Lady Over refusal To Abort Pregnancy

A police officer at Osenase of the Akwatia District Police Command Lans Corpora Stephen Ofori (service driver) has abandoned a 23 year old Ernestina Yeboah over refusal to cause an illegal abortion.

According to Ernestina, her six(6) month old pregnancy has caused her to lose her job which hence life have become unbearable.

She says after complaining the pregnancy to her boyfriend Ofori, he disagreed and claim he is not responsible.

Meanwhile a week later, he called Ernestina to connive with her to spoil the pregnancy although he insisted he is not responsible.

Lans copra Stephen Ofori who is deniening the responsibility of the pregnancy send an amount of GH¢ 250.00 and allegedly threatened to curse Ernestina and the family if she refuse to abort the child.

Opare Daniel, a brother to Ernestina also reiterated tothat several approach have been made to settle the issue amicably but in vain.

He is appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Divisional Police Command and the district Command to intervene in the matter.

Unemployed Ernestina Yeboah speaking to the press in an interview says, she seeking for justice since her adamant boyfriend has abandoned her to pay for all her hospital bills.

Meanwhile, several efforts have been made by journalists to hear the side of the police officer but refused to speak to the media.
