Nurses Abandon Duty over no constant supply of Water

The Unit Committee Member for Wechiau Bao, a farming Community in the Wa West District of Upper West Region have bemoaned the state of their CHPS compound due to the absence of Water to keep it running.

According to Mr. Albert Kpoore, nurses who have been posted there have neglected the work and said they wont be available if there is no constant supply of Water to the Health Facility located in the heart of Wechiau Bao.

He added that the health workers complained about absence of Chairs and Tsbles and as a result stated that they won’t be available till those logistics are made available for their comfort.

Mr. Kpoore Made this revelation in an interview highlighting that patients are either transported to Ponyentanga or Ga in emergency situations.

He concluded that lack of water has always bee their challenge in the community.

He called for the Wa West District Director of Health and the District Chief Executive, Mr. Edward Sabo Labiir to Come to their Aid.
