Following Ghana’s official request for IMF assistance, a prominent New Patriotic Party (NPP) member has since gone into hiding (IMF).
Gabby Otchere-Darko who did not buy the idea of former president John Mahama when commenting says if NPP going to the IMF now is what will deliver NDC victory in Dec 2024 then they better think again.
Since he was the one who hinted that the government would seek assistance because the E-levy rollout failed to generate the promised revenue, many Ghanaians have been waiting for his response.
Otchere Darko using the internet to discuss how beneficial and prudent it is for the government to request assistance from the IMF. He asserted that the Government’s action might help the Party win the 2024 election.
“If @JDMahama and the NDC are happy because NPP going to the IMF now is what will deliver NDC victory in Dec 2024 then they better think again. It rather takes pressure off the Akufo-Addo Government to focus on things that will impact positively on the economy over the next 15 months,” he tweeted.
