”NPP Delegates in the Central Region Are Those Who Have Let Us Down; If This Party Is Disgraced”-Kennedy Agyapong

The Governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Firebrand and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has accused the delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central region for causing the downfall of the Akufo- Addo led government

He says the delegates are so belly full that, they sell their votes and conscience to the highest bidder without recourse to electing persons who are fit for the various positions when they become vacant.

“My chairman, Chairman Abutey was the one who first introduced me to Ekow Ewusi; when he was bringing him, I warned him but he didn’t listen; NPP delegates in the Central region are those who have let us down; if this party is disgraced, I will blame the delegates in the Central region”, he said.

His comments come on the back of the arrest of Ekow Ewusi, the party’s suspended 1st Vice Chairman in the Central region over his alleged involvement with five others in the circumstances that led to the disappearance of up to 500 excavators that were seized during the clampdown on ‘galamsey’ by the Operation Vanguard.

Speaking in an interview on Net 2 TV on Wednesday night monitored by Ghanawish.com the maverick MP blamed the NPP electorate in the Central region for causing the downfall of the party with the election of Ekow Ewusi onto that top position in the first place.

Kennedy Agyapong said the delegates went against his incessant calls to vote against Ekow Ewusi when he showed up from nowhere to contest for the position of the 1st Vice Chairman because he had been told by his trusted sources that Mr Ewusi was a conman and a criminal, but they did not heed to his advice.
