According to some reports sighted by Ghanawish.com from some Nigerian media platforms has it that, Top Nigerian politician, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the Kaduna State Governor has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
El-Rufai made the disclosure in a video on Twitter on Saturday adding that he had isolated himself in accordance with case management guidelines of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control for anyone not showing symptoms.
“Earlier this week, I submitted a sample for the Covid-19 test. The result came in this evening, and I regret to say that it is positive.
“According to the protocols for managing Covid-19, I am in self-isolation as required by the case management guidelines of the NCDC for someone that is no showing symptoms,” he said.
“It is most important that everybody should do their utmost to stay safe, stay home and stay alive.”
El-Rufai’s positive test to the novel Coronavirus adds to the count of politicians and celebrities around the world who have tested positive for the virus.
