Niger National Jailed For Attempting To Register Ghana Card In The Central Region

The Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court in the Central Region of Ghana, presided over by His Lordship Justice Ebenezer Osei Darko has jailed a Niger National for attempting to register at the ongoing National Identification Exercise at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The 50 year old Abdul Yaako is to serve 18 months in prison with hard labor.

According report gathered by Ghanawish.com, Abdul went to Adam Nana on 18th of February, one of the centers at Kasoa to register and upon interrogation it was established that he was from Niger.

The accused person had voter’s ID card on him which indicates that he voted during 2012 and 2016 general elections.
