NDC Parliamentary Candidate Arrested For Allegedly Plotting To Kill Agona West MP

Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Paul Ofori-Amuah has been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill the legislator for Agona West Honorable Cynthia Mamle Morrison.

According to multiple reports, Paul Ofori-Amuah was arrested and has been detained by the Agona Swedru Divisional Police alongside four others in the Central Region for plotting to eliminate the incumbent MP who double as the Gender Minister.

It has been reported that, five armed men were lodging at Elohim Hotel in Agona Swedru in the Central region, planning on how to kill the Minister when suddenly police pounced on them.

The fifth suspect is reported to have absconded upon seeing the police.

One of the suspects is said to have mentioned Paul Ofori-Amuah who is contesting for the Agona West parliamentary seat as the paymaster and the brain behind the plot.

Paul Ofori Amoah was subsequently picked up and detained on Saturday evening by the police for questioning.

He is said to have admitted that he brought the four suspects to the area to execute the plot and also confessed that he issued the two cheques found with the suspects in the hotel room.

He has been charged with preparations to commit crime to wit murder and abettment to commit crime to wit murder.
