Man Kills Wife During Fight Over Phone Memory Card

Police in Grand Bassa have arrested a 35-year-old identified as Garnayee Peters for allegedly killing his 36-year-old wife, Theresa Peters, during a dispute over a memory card.

The incident occurred in St. John Community, District #3 C on Thursday afternoon.

According to reports, Garnayee Peters and his late wife have been together since 2008 and they both had three children – two girls and a boy.

The suspect told police that the incident occurred after he asked his friend Emmanuel David for mp3 player to play music.

“When I got home, I asked my wife to use her 2GB memory card to play music but she refused,” she said.

He further explained, “I tried to take her phone from her to removed the memory card but my wife hit me in my chest that’s how I blew her side and she fell”.

The suspect Garnayee Peters has been detained at the Liberian National Police headquarters in Buchanan as investigation continues.
