Rodney Sadat, a 38-year-old man, committed suicide after failing to pay a debt with his creditors.
According to the report, Rodney a supplies retailer, received over GHc5,000 goods from his creditors Sheila Menzi, a group of wholesalers who offered him items to sell and repay after the sales.
When Sheila Menzi fled Fanteakwa to the United States in October 2020, the store run by Rodney and his partner (not legally or traditionally wed); Sheila Menzi, couldn’t account for over eleven thousand sold things.
From January to September 2020, Sheila, the person in charge of debt repayment, did not pay the creditors when they provided items. Sheila had saved the money that should have gone to the creditors and flown out of Fanteakwa to Maryland, in the United States.
