Mahama has no case in court, let me be the lead Counsel – Chairman Wontumi

Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region Benard Antwi Boasiako known popularly as Chairman Wontumi has pleaded with the lead Counsel of the President of Ghana in the election petition, Akoto Ampaw to give him the opportunity to be the President’s lead Counsel.

According to him, with court proceedings so far, there is an indication that the NDC has no case and therefore there is no need for the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to worry himself about his representation.

“I will plead with the lead Counsel for the President Akoto Ampaw to leave the case for me so that I handle it because from what I’ve seen, I can easily handle the case,” he said on NSEMPA FIE on Wontumi TV Saturday.

To him, the former President of Ghana’s lead Counsel in the case Tsatsu Tsikata is overhyped and the proceedings have exposed him as a weak lawyer indicating that he asking whether the results were transmitted by the NCA is an indication that he is a “weak lawyer who is slow at learning”.

The former President of Ghana is in court to challenge the results of the 2020 elections.

According to him, the Supreme Court needs to order for a rerun because the neither the NPP nor the NDC won the election. Mahama believes none of the parties that contested in the 2020 elections made the fifty plus one vote.
