Reverend Minister Wendy Asare, a Texas-based leader of the Practical Christian Church, has advised her fellow clergymen to relying on church members for survival.

She stated that pastors must have side jobs and stop bothering their congregants with unnecessary demands.

Modernghana News monitored the woman of God’s interview with SVTV, a Ghanaian-based YouTube channel, in which she further admitted that it is not a bad idea for pastors to have side jobs.

“Someone might say that God has called them into full-time ministry. I wasn’t there when God spoke to him. But my advice is to get a side job as you do God’s work,” she advised.

Reverend Wendy Asare noted “That will be a wise decision to avoid putting pressure on the church members. This is my opinion, and you don’t have to take but get a job to become independent.”

The astute Reverend also hinted that if many pastors had jobs, the challenges faced by churches during the COVID era would not have been as severe as it was.

“Churches were affected during the pandemic, and many collapsed. But if you have a job, you could have survived on that,” she said on SVTV Africa.
