List of all the deplorable roads fixed by the NPP government since assuming power in 2017

Bad Roads across the entire length and breath of Ghana have been a major source of worry and concern for many Ghanaians.

Before President Nana Akufo-Addo of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) assumed power in 2017 he brought many good policies such as one district, one factory, planting for food and jobs, Nation-builders Corps (NABCO), Free Senior High School education, just to mention a few.

Many of these he was able to fulfill under his four years of reign.

As if that isn’t enough, he tagged the year 2020 as the ‘Year of Roads’ with a sole aim to fix the deplorable roads across the nation which the NDC party promised but couldn’t fulfil.

As the 2020 elections draw near, here are some highlights of the roads that the NPP were able to fix.

Some of the completed and partially completed projects, as part of the Urban Development Mobility in the western corridors of Greater Accra and other parts of the country, include:

• Dome-Tiafa road

• Construction of concrete roads in Tema industrial enclave.

• Dualisation of the “School Junction Road” in Adjiriganor – completed

• Teshie Lekma road – one side of the carriageway.

• Asphalting of Kwabenya – Pokuase road – Completed

• Asphalting Agbogloshie main Road – Completed

• Construction of two-lane underpass to link Spintex and East Legon.

• Funding received for Dome-Kitase road project.

Other completed roads include oil and gas enclave roads along the pipelines, including Amazure Bridge.

• Rehabilitation of 94.4 km of Tarkwa – Bogoso to Ayamfuri roads.

• Rehabilitation of 30km of Tarkwa – Bogoso road.

Watch the video below that captures the projects:

Other projects that are worth mentioning include, the Hohoe-Jasikan, Sehwi- Wiaso, Aviation town roads, Aborlebu town roads have all experienced great improvements with asphalt.

The Doninga and Garu bridges have been reconstructed making it safer for the town folks.

More so, under the Kumasi Facelift project, 17 contracts have been awarded and commenced for the asphalting of Manhyia, Bantama, and Anloga Junction to Tech.

All these have helped in improving the economic conditions in these areas.
