Lesbianism Gaining Roots at Koforidua Markets – Victim Shares Experience

Lesbianism is gradually gaining root among market women in Koforidua, a victim has told Bryt Fm.

The Koforidua “Dwa Kesie mu”, “Dwa Ketewa mu” as well as “Ohemaa park” have been cited as places where such acts are been engaged.

The activity, which is frowned upon in Ghana seems to be on the rise at marketplaces in the Eastern Regional capital.

Close sources revealed that some elderly market women are using money and their connections to lure most of the young women into the ungodly act.

According to an insider and a victim (name withheld), the elderly women usually take advantage of the ‘helpless’ young traders who approach them for assistance to secure a space at the various markets.

The victim stated “I went to one elderly Muslim woman to help me secure space just for her to ask me to be her lover. I was shocked but she boldly told me that, she will make sure I don’t get a space should I deny her of her ungodly sexual pleasure”.

“I had no other choice than to accept her offer and I must confess that she has helped me secure space and even gave me some money to start my business. And now, I have whatever I want” she narrated.

However, she also admitted that since she engaged in the act, it has affected her religious lifestyle and that seems to be a burden on her.
