At least eight persons have been killed in a fight that broke out a funeral at Antoa-Achiase in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti region this afternoon.
An eyewitness told Kumasi-based Angel FM that, the brawl ensued amongst some residents of the town and some artisans of Suame Magazine who had gone to the town to bury a dead colleague.
Reports indicate that, machetes and cement blocks were employed in an argument that went bad resulting in the deaths and injury of many.
Corpses that were enroute for interment were abandoned as pallbearers ran for their dear lives, the eyewitness said.
There was no police presence in the town at the town of filing this story.
