“It’s His Fault” – Netizens Blame Akufo-Addo For Ghana’s Loss

The Black stars of Ghana are one of Africa’s hopes in the ongoing 2022 world cup in Qatar, But the Otto Addo led team commenced their campaign in the tournament with heartbreaking 3:2 loss to Portugal in a bizarre circumstance.

The Black stars team were very ambitious and were of high hopes of winning against the Portuguese. Former Manchester united forward Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock through a spot kick in the 65th minute after he was maliciously fouled by Mohammed Salisu in the penalty box. Al Sadd playmaker Andre Ayew leveled up for the black stars 8 minutes later with a simple left footed tap-in, assisted by Mohammed Kudus.

But suddenly, the 4-time AFCON champions lost concentration of the game through a tactical blunder by coach Otto Addo and conceded two goals within a space of 3 minutes by the kind courtesy of Joao Felix and substitute Rafael Leao of Athletico Madrid and A.C Milan respectively. 23-year-old Osman Bukari who plays for Serbian giants Red Stat Belgrade came on as a substitute to replace Kudus Mohammed and netted the second goal for Ghana in the 89th minute.Which resulted in a 3:2 defeat against Ghana.

Some section of Ghanaian football loving fans through the various social media platforms, have bitterly poured out their disappointments out of agony and humor blaming the first gentleman of the land His Excellency Nana Adoo Dunkwa Akuffo Addo for the loss.
