I took inspiration from Patapaa to do music – AY Poyoo

Self-acclaimed Ghanaian rapper and social media sensation, AY Poyoo, has said his inspiration to do music was borne out of fellow musician Patapaa Amisty’s style.

AY Poyoo who is originally called Emmanuel Yeboah said the ‘One Corner” crooner came to the music scene with his kind of uniqueness which inspired him to do same.

“Patapaa is unique in his own way and doing a great job in music circles and I applaud him for that.

I gathered from his uniqueness and created my own style that is why I consider myself the face of Ghana Rap,” he told Ghana News Agency.

AY Poyoo, who is just 20 years old said he is ready to work his craft to the top and be one of the greatest rappers from Ghana who will be known across the entire continent and hopefully grab an international award.

“I don’t pay attention to distractions. I know what I want and I would prove them wrong. I would like to say a big thank you to all those pushing the brand and posting me on various social media platforms and I appreciate all of them,” he added.

Patapaa is set to feature AY Poyoo on a new track titled ‘My Lady’ which most Ghanaians are anticipating to be one of the ‘greatest’ collaborations of all times.
