No government in history has spent more money on educational and other social intervention initiatives than the NPP government, according to President Akufo-Addo.
He told delegates at the National Delegates Conference in Kumasi that his administration has spent more money than any other government in the fourth republic on health, infrastructure, industry, and agriculture.
He said he was happy to have led NPP to provide additional resources to help individuals better their lives.
He remarked that members of the NPP should be glad to be members of the elephant family because it has produced dedicated individuals who have managed the economy better than any administration in our history.
“No government in the Fourth Republic has spent more money on improving the lives of our people than we have.” So, when you leave here, be proud that you have produced a government that has worked more to improve people’s lives than any other government in the country’s history.
“Everything we’ve done in government is something we thought about in opposition,” he said. “What is the one idea that the NDC and its leader, John Mahama, have thought about in the five years they’ve been in opposition?” “There is no such thing as a single policy; the answer is zero,” remarked the President.
