I am winning Ayawaso West seat massively by 65% – Hon. Lydia Alhasan emphatically states

The constituency debate organized by 3FM a subsidiary of Media General at the Santana market, Tesano in the Ayawaso West Wuogon on 27th December, 2020 was amongst four parliamentary candidates in the constituency.

The debate was among the incumbent member of parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic party, Hon. Lydia Alhassan, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dumelo, Madam Gifty Botwe of the People’s National Congress (PNC) and Richard Mawuli Amegatse an Independence candidate.

Albeit the debate went quite well, there were mild scuffles in the end as John Dumelo claimed Hon. Lydia Alhassan called him names when making her submissions.

However, as the curtains of the debate was about to be drawn down, the incumbent member of parliament of the constituency was asked if she is going to win the election and by what percentage and she stated emphatically that she is going to win hands down by 65% votes in the constituency.

Nonetheless, the rest of the candidate as well were of the view that they are going to win the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat but could not state the exact percentage of votes they intend to accumulate which will make them win.
