Hon ‘APONKYE ‘ : PROMISES FREE CANTEEN AND BREAKFAST FOR POLICE OFFICERS AND RESIDENTS OF ADUKROM

During the holding of the last of the many series of engagement with community members on the local assembly elections by executives of No Business as Usual (NBU) Project, the aspirant affectionately referred to as “aponkye” to wit a goat mounted the podium and pledged to offer free canteen and breakfast on daily basis for police officials and residents of the electoral area if voted for in the upcoming elections.

The foregoing he defended will make police officials feel comfortable. Disadvantaged residents too he noted will feel part of humanity.

The event assumed more of a titillating posture as “apokye”, a barber by profession again assured to implement a free one- house-one-biogas toilet facility policy, offer free canopies and chairs for community events, free “makalanta” education and free “aboboyaa” for sanitation.

Mr. Ibrahim Issah a.k.a “aponkye” after winning the admiration of almost 80% of the participants expressed confidence of winning to contest.

In his statement, he explained that his desire is to give out his best for the development of the electoral area.

Touching on his free-for-all pledges, he set the record straight that”…making things free is of much relevance premised on the reason that not every resident has the financial muscle to meet those needs and I think these are what they want”.

He however called on electorates to rally behind him for victory.

EVENT
Other aspirants numbering close to four were given similar opportunity to share their policies with electorates at the event.

They were Abdul Rashid Musah, Maxwell Amankwah and Abdullah Iddrisu.

Adukrom was the last electoral area to have its share of the event among the 15 electoral areas.

The initiative offered aspirants the opportunity the share their developmental policies and canvas for votes ahead of the elections.
