GRA is set to charge E-levy on merchant sims from July in their quest to increase revenue generation.
Ghana Revenue Authority is set to charge E-levy on sims from the month of July in their quest to maximize revenue generation.
Starting from July 1, 2022 merchants sims will be charged E-levy.
Emails have been sent to mobile money merchants to inform them about this directive.
This is to maximize revenue from the much criticized Electronic Transaction Tax popularly known as E-levy.
The E-levy as revealed by NPP’s Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has failed to bring in the projected revenue.
According to the man affectionately called ‘Prime Minister’ Ghanaians have managed to dodge the payment of E-levy and it has affected the returns.
So far the Ghana Revenu Authority have achieved only 10% of their projection.
GRA to charge E-levy on merchant sims from 1st July … Lol
