Government Allegedly Spends GH¢36 Million On Agenda 111 Logo

Agenda 111

In a mind-blowing declaration on the floor of Parliament, Ghana’s banker and finance minister, Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, reportedly disclosed that a whopping GH¢36 million was spent by the government on the Agenda 111 logo and architectural designs.

Agenda 111

When testifying before the legislature to explain how the government used the COVID 19 fund, Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta made this admission.

The logo for the Agenda 111 hospital projects reportedly cost the government an astounding GH¢36 million, according to Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta. He also disclosed that a total of 1.36 billion was released from the Covid-19 funding to pay for the hospital’s construction.

Despite the lack of hospital construction, GH¢32 million was spent on logos and illustrations. At the height of Covid-19, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo announced the Agenda 111 plan, which aims to construct 111 hospitals, including polyclinics, throughout all of Ghana’s regions and districts.

According to media reports, hardly much has been accomplished since some sites’ sod was chopped. It’s interesting to note that the North Tongu MP also disclosed that the same architect received the GH¢32 million National Cathedral contract, which was awarded to him.

David Adjaye separately charged Ghana for the later “design of the integration of a Bible Museum & Biblical Gardens” which was paid out of the 29th October, 2020 unconstitutional US$25million seed money in addition to his 12.5% charge for his original design, which came to US$21.37 million (after a trade discount).

We can affirm that GH¢1.36 billion has already been issued for the government’s agenda 111. As a result, the minority is wondering why the governor hasn’t yet built any hospitals for the agenda 111.
