Gomoa Akraman Chiefs Cry For Justice For The Murder Of Akraman Gyasehene

Chiefs and Opinion leaders of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region are calling on the Ghana Police to arrest the rest of the perpetrators who murdered Gyasehene of Gomoa Akraman Nana Egyiri Ahor late last year.

The Gyaasehene of Gomoa Akraman, Nana Ahor Egyiri popularly known as Osibo was allegedly killed by some unidentified men at his home in Gomoa Akraman in the Central Region.

Information had it that a group of men attacked the chief ahead of his death, but were however not sure if his death was orchestrated by the same attackers.

According to the chiefs, some top officials in the Central Region are working hard to release those who have been arrested.

Meanwhile, in an interview, the Abusua Panin of Asona Abusu, Kwabena Atta called on President Nana Akufo-Addo to make sure that justice prevails.

The Deceased wife Esi Tawiah also called on Ghanaians to come to her aid because money to take care of the children has become a major challenge to her.

Joseph Ahor Kpessah, a younger brother to the deceased said he heard of his brother’s death through a friend and quickly rushed to the scene only to find him in a pool of blood.

“When my friend called me, I rushed to the scene and found my brother lying in a pool of blood half naked and I also saw some stones around him with blood around it so I think they used the stone to hit him,” Joe Kpassah explained.

He said cars belonging to his brother were also damaged by the unknown assailants, adding that his fence wall was all destroyed.

“When I got to his house I saw his cars and fence wall all broken but I think this act was not committed by an individual but a group of individuals,” he said.

According to Joe Kpessah, although the perpetrators of the crime have not been arrested yet, he is hopeful that the police will help apprehend the culprits soon.

“I am hoping the Kasoa Divisional Police Command will help arrest these individuals who killed my brother,” Joe Kpessah said.

According to the Chiefs of Gomoa Akraman, the Ghana Police service must do all in their power to apprehend the rest of the perpetrators and ensure justice prevails.
