Ghanaian Youth Are Very Lazy – Kwadwo Safo

The local economy has recently seen a setback as a result of rising prices for goods and services, a high standard of life, and an increase in petroleum products, among other factors.

Many Ghanaians, including well-known figures, have lamented the country’s financial difficulties, with some even demanding for the resignation of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

While many Ghanaians, particularly the young, criticize the government for being incompetent, Kwadwo Safo Jnr, CEO of the Kantanka group of firms, disagrees.

He charged that young people were too sluggish to try their hand at enterprise, especially farming.

It’s time for the youth to assume responsibility and stop depending on the government for jobs, according to Kwadwo Safo Jr.

The entrepreneur wrote in a tweet that Ghanawish.com was able to see, “The future of farming is with young people. whoever can, in whatever tiny way. Plant a tree. Not everything is the fault of the government. NO. We as citizens must assume accountability. Today’s youth are genuinely sluggish. Nobody wants to have unclean hands.”

It should be remembered that the Finance Minister of Ghana, Ken Ofori-Atta, urged young people to generate their own jobs in October of last year.

He contends that there is no more opportunity for hiring in the public sector because the government’s payroll is already at capacity.

The most crucial factor for you right now is your employment future. At the moment, the majority of people are searching for work with state or federal agencies, but these payrolls are already full “explained Ken Ofori-Atta.

“I can say that because we are paying around 650,000 people about 60% of our revenue, and that is unsustainable,” he continued.
