Ghanaian Leaders Should Learn From Tanzanian President On Good Governance

Well, I have always mentioned and stressed over worries and sadness about the poor governance in the country by Ghanaian leaders which have affected negatively on the lives of Citizens in the country. The issue of the high and unprecedented borrowings, the alarming and flaming increment in fuel prices, the high rate of unemployment, high insecurities and kidnappings, the high debt on the head of the country is really on a rise and leaders are acting unconcerned about these crisis. Leaders lack a lot about governance and they have to learn from some of our great and responsible African leaders.

Tanzania is one of the luckiest African countries to have one of the greatest and responsible leader and he is practicing good governance. I have spent precious a time monitoring and reading some biographies, facts and policies about the president of Tanzania and his governance and it really tells that his governance is experiencing responsiveness, transparency and the economy is really growing to the highest level of service.

John Pombi Magufuli is the responsible president who always put the wishes and interests of his Citizens first, their lives being better and also working hard for the betterment of his people and the country.

As many Ghanaian leaders have taken politics and governance to be their sports betting, lottery tickets and other platforms for making huge amount of monies and living lavishly. John Pombi Magufuli of Tanzania has taken politics and governance to be a tool and platform for implementing policies and initiatives to impact positively on the lives of the citizens and also working for the development and betterment of his country. John Pombi Magufuli is a president who instead increasing his salary to get huge monies in his account, he rather decreased his salary to a lower rate in oder to put and pump more resources and funds to developmental projects in the country.

There should be transparency in governance, but some Ghanaian leaders hide and don’t want the public and Citizens to know their salaries, allowances and bonuses because of lack of transparency in their governance but John Pombi Magufuli was the only Tanzanian and African president to disclose his salary on the public television station and he is the most hard working president but the lowest paid president in Africa.

John Pombi Magufuli is the only president who in his regime, decreased the number of government officials to decrease spendings and payments given to these government officials and public offices to get more money pumped into developmental projects to develop the country and for the betterment of the lives of his Citizens but Ghanaian presidents keep on increasing their officials which has increased the spendings and payments given to these officials by the state. Instead of using luxurious cars and expensive convoys and trips just like Ghanaian leaders, he rather banned his officials from using luxury cars and convoys and also unnecessary traveling. John Pombi Magufuli stopped their Independence day celebration just to use the monies and funds meant for the celebration to use it in their cleaning activities and sanitation when there was cholera outbreak in the country and he himself took part in the cleaning activity.

This is the kind of government and president we should have in the country to bring development. Ghanaian leaders should learn from this leader so that there will be low unemployment, low petrol prices, low insecurities, great developmental projects to better the lives of the citizens. John Pombi Magufuli is the only president who refused to travel by a private jet just to travel by a commercial jet just to pump the resources to their health sector.

These policies and initiatives tell that John Pombi Magufuli is a great leader and Ghanaian leaders should learn from him so that there can be development in the country and better the lives of the citizens. As the anti corruption campaigner and legal practitioner professor Patrice Otieno Lumumba will say “if he was given the chance and permission to invent a new English word, he will say there should magufulification in Kenya ” and I will urge the Leaders and government of Ghana with due respect to learn from John Pombi Magufuli so that there can be magufulification of Ghana to bring development.
