Land Guards Set Ablaze New Police Station At Tebibiano

Suspected land guards have set fire to a recently constructed police station at Obom in the Greater Accra Region’s Ga South Municipality, which was supposed to be commissioned this week.

Before ripping off the ceiling and torching furniture in the Commander’s office, the criminals vandalized the glass doors.

Residents of Tebibiano, Obom, and Ashalaja have been terrorized by land guards for years. The thugs are reported to have burned and vandalized the police station because they fear their illegal activities would be put to an end once the police station is operationalized.

Meanwhile, Tebibiano Chief Nii Quashie Amponsah has condemned the heinous act and called on the Ghana Police Service to investigate the matter and arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
