Former Member of Parliament(MP) for Bantama Constituency Daniel Okyem Aboagye says the E-Levy is one of NPP’s biggest bullet which NDC fear.
According to him, the contentious Electronic Transfer Levy, or E-levy, has become a hot topic in the country, with the Minority in Parliament and other stakeholders demanding that the 1.75 percent rate be decreased.
“E-levy is NDC’s greatest fear… E-levy is one of the largest bullets NPP can employ to cross over (win election 2024); to sustain power and break the eight,” says Daniel Okyem Aboagye, the former Member of Parliament for Bantama constituency.
The E-levy is a new tax measure that will be applied on the only on the originator of a transaction on an electronic platform. Electronic platforms include the following; fintech platforms, online banking and momo platforms.
