Dumsor Has Come To An End In Ashanti Region – GRIDCO Announces

The Ghana Grid Company in the Ashanti area has announced that the region’s erratic power supply for industrial and home use has come to an end.

A broken telecommunication tower that fell on the GRIDCo transmission line from Aboadzi to Kumasi has caused repeated power outages in the region during the last month.

GRIDCO vowed to end the unstable electricity condition by December 20, 2021, during a press briefing on the subject.

However, in the last three days, the situation has vastly improved.

GRIDCo’s Northern network managing director, Vincent Boakye, told the media in Kumasi on Friday that the business has finished repair and restoration of all the broken transmission lines by the communications tower.

He explained that on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, the 330kv deficiency of energy from the Aboadze-Anwomaso transmission line was restored to serve the region.
