27% Electricity Tariff Means Ghanaians Appreciate Government Efforts To Stop Dumsor – Gabby

A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Otchere-Darko has said that he is encouraged by the reactions of Ghanaians towards the 27 per cent increment in electricity tariff.

In his view, the reactions show that they appreciate efforts by this government to keep the lights on and tariffs low in spite of the major challenge.

In a tweet reacting to the announcement of the new tariffs, Mr Otchere-Darko who is also a former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute said “I’m encouraged by the reaction of the Ghanaian people to the 27% increase in electricity tariffs.

“It shows when you do well they appreciate, like efforts by this govt to keep the lights on and tariffs low in spite of the major challenges and will pay a little more to avoid dumsor.”
