15% Of Workers To Be Laid Off If Ghana Goes To IMF – Kusi Boafo

The Head of Public Sector Reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has made a shocking revelation that 15% of public workers will be laid off if Ghanaians refuse E-levy for government to opt for the IMF.

Kusi Boafo added that 50% of the new persons recruited into the security agencies will be sacked.

He made this damning revelation on Wontumi TV Morning Show on Monday, 21/02/2022.

Kusi Boafo said Akufo-Addo is the best President in the post-independence era.

He enlarged Akufo-Addo’s government has rolled out the best intervention programs since independence.

“Ghana will start negotiations with the IMF in June and by September IMF will impose the harshest conditionalities on Ghana,” he told the host, Oheneba Nana Asiedu.

The Project Coordinator for World Bank said Ghana doesn’t have any alternative for the E-levy.

“The way forward is very dark. We must do the bravest thing in life. Do we want Ghana or not?. We are capable of redeeming ourselves and we must be brave.”

Kusi Boafo however commended the government for introducing the Town Hall Meetings to engage residents on the E-levy.

He fumed that the communication of the ruling party is completely abhorring.

He advised the members not to sit aloof for criticisms before they react.
