A 42-year-old man has married a 14-year-old girl in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The young girl believed to be 14-years of age married the old man in an Islamic marriage.
According to sources, the man, Alhaji Faruk has been a provider of the family of the girl, Raminatu.
The legal age of marriage according to the constitution of Ghana is 18 but 42-year-old Alhaji Faruk defied the laws of the land to marry the young girl.
