WAEC Releases 2021 BECE Provisional Results

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) provisional results.

WAEC says it will despatch the results to the various schools through the Metropolitan, Municipal, District Directors of Education, meanwhile candidates can check their results on the www.waecgh.org

It reported that 138 candidates had their subject results cancelled, 46 candidates had their entire results cancelled, subject results of 148 candidates and the entire result of 109 candidates have been withheld and candidates from 24 schools in certain subjects are undergoing scrutiny.

Subject results were cancelled with the offence of either bringing foreign materials into the examination hall or colluding with other candidates while cancellation of entire results was with the offence of either sending mobile phones into the examination hall or impersonation.

Withheld subject results and entire results are pending the conclusion of investigations into various cases of alleged examination malpractice whose fate will be determined based on the outcome of the probe, WAEC relayed.
