Black Stars Provisional Squad List Out, Hearts Of Oak Players Called

Black Stars coach CK Akonnor has officially announced a provisional squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa in a press conference today.

The coach picked four goalkeepers for the two games including Manag Nurudeen who has replaced Danlad Ibrahim.

Left-back Abdul Baba Rahman after an impressive pre-season with the parent club Chelsea gained another call up into the team together with Andy Yiadom who plays for Reading FC in the English Championship.

Despite picking up an injury for Arsenal against Chelsea FC in the Minds game at the Emirates, midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has been called up into the squad with hopes that he will be for in time to represent his country.

Goalkeeper Richard Attah and Daniel Afriyie Bannie are the only players from Accra Hearts Of Oak to gain call-ups into the national team.
