The Member of Parliament for the Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro Sylvester Tetteh has suggested President Akufo-Addo is the best man to protect the public purse.
He admonished Ghanaians to trust in Akufo-Addo because he is a man of integrity.
He premised his submission on the cost of the Pokuase interchange and that of the Circle interchange.
He claimed that President Akufo-Addo is building three interchanges with $289 million, while the erstwhile Mahama administration constructed only one interchange with the same amount.
”The Pokuase interchange is ample testimony of protecting the public purse. President Akufo-Addo delivering three interchanges with the same amount Mahama used in constructing one interchange. Between these two leaders, who is prepared in protecting the public purse?”
He added: ”when you say Fix the country, this one way of fixing the country.
He alleged that Mr. Mahama used $8 million in commissioning the Circle interchange, whereas Nana Addo used zero amount for the commissioning.
When asked for his evidence, he promised to make it available at another time.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Friday, 9th July 2021, commissioned the Four Tier Pokuase Interchange.
