A New York representative of the Asantehene, Nana Atakora Amaniampong has said that he is doing everything in his power to get hold of Twene Jonas to have him apologize to the revered Ashanti King.
According to him, he is ready to foot the bills to fly the vociferous social commentator to Ghana to apologise to Otumfuor Ababio Osei Tutu II for the disparaging comments he [Twene Jonas] passed some days back.
Twene Jonas is reported to have said that Ghanaian leaders do not speak the truth including the Asantehene.
Nana Atakora Amaniampong, however, failed to answer Kofi TV’s Kofi Adomah’s when he was asked what exactly makes Twene Jonas wanted by him and his cohorts. He said that the social commentator is too young to be speaking against the King.
He has been at the centre of several backlashes from natives of Kumasi and its environs. Some have gone further to invoke curses on him
Meanwhile, Ghanaians on social media has reacted to the various people who have picked a bone with Twene Jonas saying that the Asantehene himself has not even said anything about the issue.
