Mobile Money vendor shot by robbers

A 21-year-old mobile money vendor, Joseph Amoah, was attacked Friday night by armed robbers at Ahinkofi-krom near Kojokrom within the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis in the Western Region.

According to him, the incident happened around 7:00pm when two young men approached him to withdraw some money.

But one of them pulled out a gun after he had requested their ID card to compete the transaction.

Amoah then started shouting for help after seeing the gun but unfortunately had no one coming to his aid.

The robbers managed to pull his bag which contained unspecified amount of money and shot him in the thigh.

They then bolted away with the money.

He is currently responding to treatment at the Effiankwanta Hospital emergency ward.
